Fishing and Swimming and Such

So the past couple weeks haven't been too eventful. Actually, life has been GREAT! It has been nice not HAVING to go anywhere but being able to just be at home as a family. In fact, we don't have any plans for the next month and that is absolutely wonderful! The weather hasn't been all that great; pretty cold and soggy. So there hasn't been too much outside time, but McKinlee has had the chance to go fishing with her daddy and her Grandma and Grandpa Colson. She loves the fish and does the cutest 'wiggle' to immitate them! Last week we went to Poky for Jared's last day of jury duty! Yippy!! His year term is over! Anyways, we stayed in a hotel so McKinlee could go swimming and of course she loved every second! I sure wish there was some place that would let a 2 year old take swimming lessons. She is fearless! Jared and I were throwing her to each other and letting her fall into the pool...all the way in, head and all. She would go under the water and come up counting '1...2...3...' ready to be thrown again. It was great! Logan is growing like crazy and changing every day. He is an absolute joy and a great baby. He is so mellow and easy going. Well here are a couple pictures from the last couple weeks.

Logan chillin' in his swing.

McKinlee under the big waterfall at the hotel. She didn't mind it one bit!

Swimming with mom and dad. It was all we could do to keep a hold of her!

Logan in his cute new swimsuit with Grandpa Mayes!

Of course she can't pick the small, managable rocks, but instead the biggest one she can carry!

Six weeks, sunshine, yellowstone and CUTE KIDS!

Well lots has happened in the past week...first off, Logan turned 6 weeks! Holy cow, time flys! We have also finally received some sunshine and warmth. The kids are really enjoying having nice days to be outside. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed off to Yellowstone for the weekend. We went to the bear and wolf exhibit and McKinlee loved seeing the animals, and jumping in the puddles. Then on Saturday we drove through the park, and of course stopped at Old Faithful. The weather was great, but I couldn't believe how much snow the park still had. Because of the snow we weren't able to see very many animals. We did see the usual buffalo and elk. It was still a great trip because we were able to be as a family for the first real time since Logan was born. I have put a slide show together that will recap a lot of this...enjoy!

Mother's Day, Naps and Houston

Jared took off last Thursday for Houston to see his brother and be there for his son's baby blessing. So, the kids and I headed to good old Poky for a few days and to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a great time and enjoyed some much needed sunshine! We missed Jared TONS and after hearing about how great Houston was, we are very excited to go visit Adam and Jenna someday.

Mom and the CUTEST kids in the world!

McKinlee LOVES Grandma's flowers!

We had to go to Idaho Falls today and sweet sweet McKinlee snuggled in with her 'silky' and took a nap. I couldn't resist not taking a picture! For some reason she was insisting on wearing the hood up on her jacket..she can be so weird and silly sometimes.

This is from Logan's blessing day. We are blessed to have 4 generations of Colsons!

Jared was able to sit and get some good snuggle time in with our new nephew Caleb. What a cute kid!!

But as soon as 'snuggle time' ended, Mario Cart began!

Family fun and blessing day!

So I just had a whole big thing typed up and when I pressed save it deleted the whole thing...So I will type it all again and hopefully it works this time!

This was a busy busy week! Last weekend until Wednesday night Jared was gone so Grandma and Grandpa Mayes came up for the weekend, and Grandma and Grandpa Colson came up from Monday thru Wednesday. We had lots of fun and each of the Grandpas got some really good snuggle time with Logan..and I am sure they hated every bit of it! We then had Logan's blessing on Sunday and had a house full of family. It was GREAT! We had my brother Bill and his family up from Nampa, Jared's Aunt Carol, Uncle Scott, and son Connor up from Salt Lake, Great Grandma and Grandpa Colson, and of course each set of Grandparents and Aunt JuJu. It was a weekend full of TONS of food and lots of fun! The weather was beautiful and it allowed McKinlee to go to the park and creek and play. All of the snow is FINALLY gone in our yard and all I have to say is "It's about time!!" We are about to have another busy week with Jared leaving to Houston for Adam and Jenna's little boy Caleb's baby blessing and me and the kids heading to Pocatello . It will be nice when life can slow down a bit and we can all be at home together as a family for a while.

Enjoy the pictures, and I will be adding more to the slide show shortly!

3 Weeks already!!

So, I can't believe that 3 weeks have already come and gone! Logan is an awesome baby...we are very very lucky! He wakes up once a night, so needless to say, Jared and I are getting our beauty rest! McKinlee is being a great big sister. She is very protective of Logan and doesn't want anyone but mom or dad to look at him, let alone hold him! She gives him lots of kisses and wants to help with everything. Logan is up to over 8 lbs, and is eating like a horse! I can see how much he changes day to day and it makes me sad! I don't know why the babies can't just stay tiny for a little bit longer. I am very excited because I was able to wear a pair of pre-pregnancy pants yesterday..Yippy!! We have been all alone for the past few days, but are excited to see all the grandparents this weekend again. Jared is leaving to golf and then to go to Milwaukee for business next week. I am ready for him to be at home for an extended period of time..we miss him when he is gone! We seem to get snow everyday. Will it ever quit?! I am ready for spring...not even spring, just grass!!! McKinlee goes outside and finds little patches of grass and gets so excited, as if she hasn't seen the stuff before! Poor girl!! Well, I have blabbed enough. Enjoy the pictures!

Finally some pictures and such

Ok....So I have been a total slacker in even updating this blog, but here are some recent photos of Logan. He is a very very good baby and we are super glad to have him here. McKinlee is doing very well as a big sister and just wants to help ALL the time!

Jared feeding Logan his first bottle...what a good dad!

McKinlee helping mom on our first day home. She loves to help feed Logan, and I LOVE the help!

Snuggled in after his first bath...he did quite well.

Right before we left for his first doctor's appointment. Everything went very well. He was up to 7 lbs 2 oz and all looked great!

I bought these cute jamies for both he and McKinlee, but he was the only one who cooperated during the photo shoot!
